Inaugural Ride for Charity June 22, 2019

The Inaugural ride for charity was held on June 22, 2019. There were over 125 motorcycles and a few vehicles on this momentous ride that launched The Lion's Tail and raised money for a very worthy cause - the Breakfast Clubs of the Bruce Peninsula schools.

This ride highlighted the southern part of The Lion's Tail route, leaving from The Lion's Head Beach Motel & Cottages, traveling south along picturesque Bruce Road 9, out around Grey Road 1 and back through Shallow Lake to Sauble for a lunch break. We then traveled north through Red Bay and Pike Bay and finally back down the peninsula to finish the ride with a vendor fair and prize draws in the Bluewater Park in Wiarton.

$2,273.50 from this event was raised and was presented to the local school's Breakfast Clubs for children. The day was a great success and we are looking forward to the follow-up Lion's Tail Ride for Charity Part II on June 20, 2020.

Fall Colour Ride for Linkin October 05, 2019

The Lion's Tail did a Fall Colour Ride for Linkin on October 05, 2019, in support of a young family in need of support. Linkin is a little boy who was diagnosed with a serious health issue and was in need of frequent visits and stays at Sick Kids in Toronto.

The ride, which attracted over 31 bikes and a few cars raised $1,400. It toured beautiful roads on the Bruce Peninsula showcasing their fall colors and was also a great success. It ended in Pike Bay where a barbecue was held (which also raised money for Linkin and his family). Much to the surprise of everyone on the ride (especially his Grandma Jean) Linkin was well enough to make an appearance!

* On a very happy note - Linkin's health has improved dramatically and he continues to thrive.
