ABOUT THE LION'S TAIL

The Lion's Tail started in 2019 and is a ride for charity -- for the Breakfast Clubs of Bruce Peninsula Schools. It has become Canada's premiere destination route for motorcycles and any street-legal vehicle. It attracts motorcycles, three-wheelers, classic cars, sports cars, tricked-out trucks and everything in between.
Dan Cassel designed the route in 2018 and the inaugural ride took place on June 22, 2019 with over 125 motorcycles and a few vehicles. This ride highlighted the southern part of The Lion's Tail route, leaving from The Lion's Head Beach Motel & Cottages, traveling south along picturesque Bruce Road 9, out around Grey Road 1 and back through Shallow Lake to Sauble for a lunch break. We then traveled north through Red Bay and Pike Bay and finally back down the Peninsula to finish the ride with a vendor fair and prize draws in Bluewater Park in Wiarton. $2,273.50 from this event was raised and was presented to the local school's Breakfast Clubs via the Ontario Student Nutrition Program Grey-Bruce.
Due to COVID, the ride was postponed but recommenced in 2022 and continues annually. To date, over $8000 has been raised for the school Breakfast Clubs!
